My Business Biography

I am an serial entrepreneur and connector in silicon valley. I co-founded 4 companies in Ireland, the UK and Silicon Valley. I've been active in the startup space in silicon valley and regularly help startups to grow, raise finance and scale their companies. I'm the VP of Business Development for Voxpro in the USA, and I advise several other companies based in Silicon Valley. I also run the MobilityX Conference in San Francisco and Dublin (www.mobilityx.co)

Previously I was the co-founder of Inspire Nation, TapMap, and GrokLabs.
I have a lot of startup experience, and I'm well versed in building teams, bootstrapping, raising finance, and getting stuff done under pressure. I was born and raised in Ireland, studied in France and received a Masters in Science of Marketing from KU Leuven in Belgium. I speak fluent French, as well as a smattering of Dutch and Spanish.

In 2003 I co-founded Inspire Nation, an international consulting company where executives travelled around the world and learned how some of the best and most interesting companies succeeded. Clients included The World Bank, Virgin Atlantic and the Dubai Development Authority.

Currently, I'm based in San Francisco, and am working with Voxpro to help companies like Airbnb, Stripe, Nest, Google, Vivino, Robinhood and many more scale and grow their companies in the US and Europe.

We raised money from angel investors in Ireland the UK and Russia. Built using Ruby, with a development team in Dallas and Belarus.

CEO
GROK LABS

GrokLabs was a spinoff of TapMap. Groklabs is an iOS and Android app that allows you to extract price data from shelf labels. GrokLabs is currently in beta.

NVIDIA and the coming AI age

NVIDIA finds itself at the axis of a hugely valuable market with growing need for AI and thinking machines. If you’ve seen the ‘Terminator’ movie and remember the company called Cyberdyne Systems, the creator of Skynet, you’ll remember they were building a new chip that enabled computers to think. NVIDIA (@nvidia) are the closest thing to the fictitious Cyberdyne today.

I've been a kitesurfer for the past 5 years, and it's an amazing sport. I've been lucky enough to have been part of an amazing crew of people who love kiting, and starting businesses. I was president of the Irish Kitesurfing Association (IKSA)
